- Leiqiong Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark, China 中国雷琼海口火山群世界地质公园 2006Haikou Shishan Volcanic Cluster Geopark is China's only tropical volcanic geopark, covering 108 sq km. Its dormant volcanoes erupted in the Holocene, and it is a national 4A scenic area.
- Holiday Beach 假日海滩 2009Holiday Beach is a bathing beach along Binhai Avenue West in Haikou, 6,000 m long, divided into sunbathing, water-sports, seafood dining and resort zones.
- Hainan Provincial Museum 海南省博物馆 2019The Hainan Provincial Museum is on Guoxing Avenue in Qiongshan District, Haikou.
- Hai Rui Cultural Park 海瑞文化公园 2025The Tomb of Hai Rui is the burial place of the Ming official known as "Clear-Sky Hai." Completed in 1589, it became a national key heritage site in 1996.
- Dongzhai Harbor Mangrove Tourism Area 东寨港红树林旅游区 2025Dongzhaigang National Nature Reserve is China's first mangrove wetland reserve, covering 3,337.6 ha, of which 1,771.1 ha is mangrove. It is on China's World Heritage tentative list.

- Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Tourism Area 亚龙湾热带天堂森林旅游区 2013Yalong Bay National Resort is a tropical coastal scenic area in eastern Sanya, about 10 km from the city center.
- Luhuitou 鹿回头 2017Luhuitou Park is a hill jutting into the sea south of Sanya's center, 181 m high and covering 82.88 ha. A 12 m stone sculpture on top depicts the Li legend of the deer turning its head, the origin of Sanya's nickname "Deer City."
- Sanya Atlantis Scenic Area 三亚亚特兰蒂斯景区 2025Atlantis Sanya opened in 2018, built by Fosun Group for 11 billion yuan. Ocean-themed on 300,000 sq m, it has a water park and an aquarium, and 1,314 rooms.

- China (Hainan) South China Sea Museum 中国（海南）南海博物馆 2019The China (Hainan) South China Sea Museum in Tanmen Town, Qionghai, exhibits the history, culture and natural resources of the South China Sea and the Maritime Silk Road. It covers 150 mu, opened in 2018 and is a national first-class museum.

- Soong Family Ancestral Residence 宋氏祖居 2022The Soong ancestral home was once lived in by the family of Soong Charlie, father of Soong Ching-ling and Soong Mei-ling. The original is gone; the present building dates from 1985 and has been a Hainan provincial protected site since 1994. A memorial hall to the family stands next to it.

- Nanwan Monkey Island Eco Scenic Area 南湾猴岛生态景区 2005Nanwan Monkey Island is a macaque reserve on the Nanwan Peninsula in Lingshui, covering 10.2 sq km with 95% forest cover. The macaque population has grown from just over 100 in 1965 to more than 1,500.
