About
Mandarin Duck Creek (Yuanyangxi) lies 30 km from the Pingnan county seat in north-east Fujian, 79 km², China’s only reserve for the mandarin duck. The creek runs 14 km through deep forest where the ducks winter, so Pingnan is called the “home of the mandarin duck”. The area also has macaques and the Water Curtain Cave.
