About

Xianhua Mountain (仙华山风景名胜区) is a national park of China (ninth batch, designated by the State Council in 2017), located in Xianhua Subdistrict, Pujiang County, Jinhua, Zhejiang.

The scenic area is in Pujiang County, Jinhua, Zhejiang, and centres on Mount Xianhua, close to Pujiang town. The mountain is volcanic rock, with a main peak of about 700 m and a character of steep, isolated peaks and cliffs.

By tradition a daughter of the Yellow Emperor practised here and became immortal, which is the origin of the name. The main peak area includes Pinting Peak, and there is a lake, Xianhua Lake, at the foot.

Travel tips

A few minutes by road from Pujiang town, and one to two hours from Hangzhou or Jinhua. A climb takes about half a day. Spring and autumn are better; summer is hot and the steps are slippery after rain, so wear shoes with good grip.
