Xingcheng, in Huludao on the Bohai coast of south-west Liaoning, has the old walled town, the bathing beach, hot springs and Juhua Island.
The old town is the most complete surviving Ming walled town in China; its walls are on China’s World Heritage tentative list.
The beach is about 14 km long with fine soft sand and clean water.
