About
Mount Mogan, an outlier of the Tianmu Mountains in Deqing County, northern Zhejiang, is named after the swordsmiths Gan Jiang and Mo Ye of the Spring and Autumn period, who forged their swords here. It is one of China’s four great summer resorts. The scenic area covers 43 km²; the main peak, Tashan, is about 720 m. It is famed for the “three excellences” of bamboo, clouds and springs and the “four virtues” of clarity, quiet, greenness and coolness.
It is in the third batch of national parks of China (national scenic areas) named by the State Council in 1994.
