About
Mount Shiren, anciently Yaoshan, lies in western Lushan County, Pingdingshan, Henan, at the eastern end of the Funiu range, 268 km²; the main peak, Jade Emperor Summit, is 2,153 m. It is named for its many stone pillars over 200 m high; several waterfalls drop more than 100 m, and its features are pillars, waterfalls, hot springs and forest.
Getting there
The mountain lies by the Jiaozuo–Zhicheng railway and National Highways 311 and 207 cross the area. Buses run from the Lushan county seat; the nearest airport is Xinzheng at Zhengzhou.
