About

Fairy Lake, formerly the Jiangkou reservoir, lies 16 km south-west of Xinyu, Jiangxi: 200 km² with 50 km² of water and over 70 islands, in three parts: Wulong Lake in the east with its bays and islands, the Zhongshan gorge in the centre with cliffs and rapids, and the misty waters of Lingyang in the west. Hongyang Cave has stalactites and inscriptions.

It is in the fourth batch of national parks of China (national scenic areas) named by the State Council in 2002.
