Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture (23)
- Luxi Alu Ancient Cave 泸西阿庐古洞 2002A karst cave system known as 'the first cave of Yunnan', made up of Luyuan, Yuzhu and Biyu caves and the Yusun underground river, over 3,000 metres in all. The Ming geographer Xu Xiake explored it. The name is Yi for 'tiger cave with a meadow before it', and the caves form part of the Luxi Alu National Geopark.
- Jianshui Confucian Temple 建水文庙 2009A Confucian temple founded in 1285 and enlarged under the Ming and Qing, covering 76,000 square metres in six courtyards. It is the largest and best-preserved Confucian temple in southwest China, surpassed nationally only by those of Qufu and Beijing, and a national key cultural heritage site.
- Tuanshan Ancient Village 团山古村 2014A village on the south bank of the Lujiang River in Xizhuang Town, Jianshui County, about 13 kilometres from the county seat, listed in 2012 among the first Traditional Villages of China.
- Honghe Yuanyang Hani Terraces Scenic Area 红河元阳哈尼梯田景区 2014Terraced fields farmed by the Hani people for some 1,300 years, spread across Yuanyang, Honghe, Jinping and Lüchun counties over about one million mu, with the core in Yuanyang. In 2013 they were listed as a national key cultural heritage site and inscribed as a World Heritage cultural landscape.
- Honghe Prefecture Shiping County Yilong Lake Wetland Park Scenic Area 红河州石屏县异龙湖湿地公园景区 2020A fault-and-solution lake east of Shiping county town, one of Yunnan's eight great plateau lakes, with 32 square kilometres of water and an average depth of 4 metres.
- Mengzi Biseshai Scenic Area 蒙自碧色寨景区 2021A village in Guanlan Subdistrict, Mengzi, formerly called Poxin, famous for Bisezhai Railway Station. It was listed as a Traditional Village of China in 2013.

Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture (22)
- Dali Binchuan Jizu Mountain Scenic Area 大理宾川鸡足山景区 2009A Buddhist holy mountain spanning Binchuan, Dali and Heqing, revered as the seat of Mahakasyapa and a meeting point of Chinese, Tibetan and Theravada Buddhism. Formerly called Qingdian or Jiuqu Mountain, it is named for its chicken-foot shape and forms part of the Dali scenic area.
- Dali Ancient City 大理古城 2012The old city in Dali Town, Dali City, listed among the first National Famous Historical and Cultural Cities in 1982.
- Dali Xiangyun Shuimu Mountain Cultural Tourism Area 大理祥云水目山文化旅游区 2013A Buddhist mountain in Yunnanyi Town, Xiangyun County. The Shuimu Temple complex is one of Yunnan's earliest Buddhist sites and the centre from which Chan spread in western Yunnan, called 'the first Chan temple of Yunnan'. It has the largest Buddhist pagoda forest in southwest China, and the Shuimu Temple Pagoda is a national key cultural heritage site.
- Dali Weishan Ancient City and Weibao Mountain Tourism Area 大理巍山古城—巍宝山旅游区 2014Also called Menghua City, laid out on a chessboard grid of streets and lanes, with timber-and-earth houses largely retaining Ming and Qing character. Weishan was named a National Famous Historical and Cultural City in 1994, and its North Street is a Famous Historical and Cultural Street of China.
- Dali Butterfly Spring Park 大理蝴蝶泉公园 2018A square spring pool at the foot of Cangshan about 27 kilometres from Dali old town, some 50 square metres in area, edged with marble and crystal clear. Xu Xiake recorded the wonder of thousands of butterflies hanging in chains from the trees down to the water, and Guo Moruo wrote a poem on visiting in 1961.
- Dali Prefecture Museum Scenic Area 大理州博物馆景区 2020The comprehensive regional museum of Dali Prefecture, opened in 1986 as Yunnan's first prefecture-level general museum. Its buildings combine Tang-style architecture with Bai vernacular forms, and it was rated a national second-class museum in 2009.
- Eryuan West Lake 洱源西湖 2023Also called Dali West Lake, a plateau freshwater lake at the northern foot of Yunnong Peak in the Cangshan range, 1,968 metres above sea level and 2.1 square kilometres in area, supplying 13% of Erhai's surface inflow. Six villages and seven islands lie within it, and it was approved as a national wetland park in 2009.
- Nanjian Wuliang Mountain Cherry Blossom Valley Scenic Area 南涧无量山樱花谷景区 2015The Wuliang Mountains run through Nanjian, Jingdong, Zhenyuan and Jinggu, with the main peak Maotoushan at 3,306 metres. Formed of limestone and sandstone, they shelter peafowl and silver pheasants, and parts of Jin Yong's novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils are set here.

Kunming (19)
- Jiuxiang Scenic Area 九乡风景名胜区 2001A multi-level cave system along the Maitian River in Yiliang County, with more than twenty caves such as Sanjiao, Xianren and Baixiang spread over about 20 square kilometres. Listed as a national scenic area in 1994 and a national geopark in 2009.
- Yunnan Ethnic Village 云南民族村 2001An ethnic culture park of about 1,300 mu on the shore of Dianchi Lake, with twelve villages representing the Bai, Dai, Yi, Naxi and other peoples plus a Mosuo household, showcasing their architecture, daily life and religious customs.
- Kunming Xishan Forest Park 昆明市西山森林公园 2006A forest park on the Western Hills beside Dianchi Lake and a national scenic area, overlooking the whole lake. Its noted sights include the Dragon Gate, Sanqing Pavilion, Taihua Temple and the tomb of Nie Er.
- Kunming Daguan Park 昆明市大观公园 2019A park built around Daguan Tower on the northern shore of Dianchi Lake, an important part of the Dianchi scenic area. The tower was listed as a national key cultural heritage site in 2013.
- Kunming Golden Temple Scenic Area 昆明金殿景区 2001Also called the Golden Hall of Taihe Palace, at the foot of Mingfeng Mountain in Kunming's northeastern suburbs. It is the largest and best-preserved hall cast entirely of copper in China, one of the country's four great bronze halls and a national key cultural heritage site.
- Kunming Guandu Ancient Town 昆明官渡古镇 2011An ancient town on the north shore of Dianchi Lake and a cradle of Dian culture, anciently called Wodong. It took its name from a ferry crossing established under the Nanzhao kingdom over a thousand years ago, preserves Kunming's traditional character, and underwent a first phase of restoration from 2001 to 2003.
- Yunnan Wildlife Park 云南野生动物园 2012A wildlife park within Jindian National Forest Park in Panlong District, Kunming.
- Kunming Jiaozi Snow Mountain 昆明轿子山 2015Also called Jiaozi Snow Mountain, on the border of Luquan and Dongchuan, rising to 4,344 metres and named for its sedan-chair shape. The Nanzhao kingdom ranked it first among Yunnan's five sacred peaks. A national nature reserve since 2011, it is Kunming's main winter destination for snow scenery.
- Kunming Green Lake and Military Academy Scenic Area 昆明市翠湖·讲武堂景区 2020A lake in central Kunming known as the emerald set in the city, with about 15 hectares of water. Named for the green of its waters and year-round bamboo, it is also called Nine Dragons Pool, and Cuihu Park surrounds it.
- Xundian Fenglongwan Scenic Area 寻甸凤龙湾景区 2021A scenic area built around Fenglongwan Reservoir on the Malong River in Xundian County, completed in 1956 at 1,882 metres with a normal capacity of 22.12 million cubic metres.
- Xundian Kedu Red Army Long March Memorial Hall 寻甸柯渡红军长征纪念馆 2025Centred on the former headquarters of the Central Red Army at Dangui Village in Kedu Town. On 30 April 1935, during the Long March, the Central Military Commission met here to plan the crossing of the Jinsha River; Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Liu Bocheng lodged and worked in the compound.

- Luoping Jiulong Waterfalls Scenic Area 罗平九龙瀑布群景区 2015A four-kilometre chain of waterfalls in Jiulong Town, Luoping County, called 'Great Cascade' by the local Bouyei people. The largest, Shenlong Falls, is 56 metres high and 112 metres wide, the widest and biggest waterfall in Yunnan.
- Source of the Pearl River 珠江源 2020A national forest park on the eastern slopes of Maxiong Mountain in Zhanyi District, covering 12.5 square kilometres with over 95% forest cover and some 2,000 plant species, including rarities such as the ghost plant and the giant tree rhododendron.
- Huize Dahai Grass Mountain 曲靖会泽大海草山 2020Alpine grassland in Dahai Township, Huize County, part of the Wumeng Mountains, at 2,570 to 4,017 metres.

- Baoshan Changning Youdian River Park Scenic Area 保山昌宁右甸河公园景区 2020The Youdian River is the upper course of the Luozha River, a tributary of the Lancang, rising on the eastern slopes of Songzi Mountain in Mangshui Town, northern Changning, and flowing south past Hexi Reservoir and the county town.
- Baoshan Tengchong Western Yunnan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall (National Martyrs' Cemetery) Scenic Area 保山腾冲市滇西抗战纪念馆（国殇墓园）景区 2020A cemetery on Xiaotuan Hill by the Dieshui River in Tengchong, built for soldiers of the Chinese Expeditionary Force's 20th Group Army who fell in the 1944 Battle of Tengchong. Its name, 'National Martyrs', comes from the Songs of Chu. Listed as a national key cultural heritage site in 1996, it and the West Yunnan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall are among the first national war memorial facilities.

- Jingdong County Jingdong Confucian Temple 景东县景东文庙 2022The Confucian temple of the former Jingdong Sub-prefecture, founded in 1442. Its surviving screen wall, Pan Pool, bell and drum towers, Lingxing Gate and Dacheng Hall follow a layout with the temple on the right and the school on the left. Listed as a national key cultural heritage site in 2013.
- Mojiang Confucian Temple 墨江文庙 2025The Confucian temple of the former Talang Sub-prefecture of Pu'er, founded in 1821. It retains the Lingxing Gate, Lingxiao and Kuixing pavilions, Dacheng Hall and Chongsheng Hall, the Dacheng Hall having a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. Listed as a national key cultural heritage site in 2019.

- Lijiang Shuhe Ancient Town 丽江束河古镇 2005An ancient town north of Lijiang's old city, one of the earliest Naxi settlements in Lijiang and a well-preserved hub on the Tea Horse Road. It prospered from the Ming dynasty through leatherwork and other crafts, retains Ming murals at Dajue Palace and the Qing Sansheng Palace, and forms part of the Old Town of Lijiang World Heritage site.
- Lijiang Black Dragon Pool 丽江黑龙潭 2008Also called Jade Spring Park, north of Lijiang old town at 2,419 metres and part of the Old Town of Lijiang World Heritage site. Its waters flow south through the Yu River into the old town, the main source of its canal system.
- Lijiang Lugu Lake Scenic Area 丽江泸沽湖景区 2009A plateau freshwater lake straddling Sichuan and Yunnan at 2,690 metres, covering 48.45 square kilometres with Class I water quality. Its shores are home to the Pumi and Mosuo peoples, the latter known for their 'walking marriage' custom.
- Lashi Lake 拉市海 2025A plateau wetland in the Lashi basin on the southeastern slopes of Yulong Snow Mountain, the core of the Lashihai provincial nature reserve. Its Naxi name means 'tiger lake', and more than twenty thousand migratory birds winter here each year.

- Dehong Lianghe Nandian Pacification Commissioner's Office 德宏梁河南甸宣抚司署 2004A chieftain's yamen begun in 1851 and reaching its present extent in 1935. The Gong chieftains held office for 29 generations over five centuries. Laid out like a Han-style government office with four main courtyards and 149 rooms, it is called the 'Forbidden City of the Dai' and is a national key cultural heritage site.
- Dehong Mangshi Mengbanaxi Rare Garden 德宏芒市勐巴娜西珍奇园 2005A park on Yonghan Street in Mangshi, formerly the Mangshi Ethnic Culture Palace. The Dai name 'Mengbanaxi' means 'a beautiful place'.
- Ruili One Village Two Countries Scenic Area 瑞丽一寨两国景区 2021A border attraction at Yinjing Village in Jiexiang Township, Ruili, where the national boundary runs through the village: Yinjing on the Chinese side, Mangxiu on the Myanmar side. It has a well shared by villagers of both countries and a swing that crosses the border. Development began in 2004.

- Deqen Meili Snow Mountain Scenic Area 迪庆梅里雪山景区 2007A range of snow peaks in the middle Nu Mountains of the Hengduan range, within the Three Parallel Rivers region. Said to have thirteen 'Prince' peaks, its main summit Kawagebo rises 6,740 metres, the highest in Yunnan, and is revered as a sacred mountain in Tibetan Buddhism.
- Deqen Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area 迪庆虎跳峡景区 2009A gorge on the main stem of the Jinsha River between Yulong and Shangri-La, about 16 kilometres long in upper, middle and lower sections. Haba and Yulong snow mountains face each other across it with a 3,790-metre drop from summit to riverbed, and at its narrowest it is only some 30 metres wide. Legend says a tiger leapt across using a mid-river rock.
- Deqen Shangri-La Songzanlin Scenic Area 迪庆香格里拉松赞林景区 2010Known in Chinese as Guihua Temple, about 5 kilometres north of Jiantang Town in Shangri-La at 3,380 metres. Completed in 1683, it is Yunnan's largest Gelug monastery of Tibetan Buddhism and is called the 'Little Potala'. The original buildings were destroyed in 1966 and rebuilt on the site from 1982.
- Shangri-La Baishuitai Scenic Area 香格里拉白水台景区 2024A travertine terrace landscape in Sanba Naxi Township, Shangri-La, called 'China's Pamukkale'. A holy site of the Dongba religion, it was listed as a Yunnan provincial protected cultural site in 1993.
- Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient Town Scenic Area 香格里拉独克宗古城景区 2023Its Tibetan name means 'white stone city', with the sense of 'moonlight city'. In Jiantang Town, Shangri-La, it was historically an important town and garrison and a key relay station on the Yunnan-Tibet section of the Tea Horse Road.
