• Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum 成都武侯祠博物馆
  China's only temple jointly honouring a ruler and his minister, comprising the Wuhou Shrine to Zhuge Liang, the Zhaolie Temple to Liu Bei and Liu Bei's tomb, Huiling. Begun in 223 AD, its main surviving buildings were rebuilt in the Kangxi era, and it is among the first national first-class museums.
• Du Fu Thatched Cottage 杜甫草堂
  Also known as the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum, beside Huanhuaxi Park in Chengdu, covering 24 hectares. It was listed among the first national key cultural heritage sites in 1961.
• Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding 成都大熊猫繁育研究基地
  A non-profit research institution combining giant panda breeding research, public education and tourism. Starting from six pandas rescued from the wild, it housed 260 giant pandas by the end of 2024, along with red pandas, golden snub-nosed monkeys and other endangered animals.
• Luodai Ancient Town 洛带古镇
  A Hakka town in the north of Longquanyi District, Chengdu, where Hakka people make up 85% of the population. It served as a core sub-venue of the 20th World Hakka Conference.
• Baoguang Temple and Gui Lake Cultural Tourism Area 宝光桂湖文化旅游区
  One of the finest examples of western Sichuan garden design, built against the Xindu city wall. It preserves its Sui-Tang landscape layout intact, with most buildings rebuilt in the Qing dynasty, and is famed for its osmanthus and lotus. A national key cultural heritage site.

  An ancient town with over 2,100 years of history, a key stop on Jin River shipping since the Han dynasty. It retains a well-preserved old-town layout, and its fire-dragon lantern dance and Fu River work songs are national intangible cultural heritage.
• Pingle Ancient Town 平乐古镇
  Anciently called Pingluo, a market town since the Western Han dynasty. It is a Famous Historical and Cultural Town of China and was named one of China's Top 100 Cultural Towns in 2023.
• Jinsha Site Museum 金沙遗址博物馆
  A site museum built on the Jinsha archaeological site, dedicated to displaying and studying the site.
• Xiling Snow Mountain 西岭雪山
  A snow mountain of the Qionglai range in Dayi County, Chengdu, whose main peak Daxuetang rises 5,364 metres, the highest in Chengdu. It may be the mountain in Du Fu's line 'my window frames the West Ridge's thousand-year snows', and the area includes a ski resort.
• Wangcong Shrine 望丛祠
  A shrine honouring Du Yu and Bie Ling, the Wang and Cong emperors of ancient Shu, and the only imperial mausoleum in southwest China where two rulers are worshipped in one temple. Its surviving buildings are mainly Qing, and it is a Sichuan provincial protected cultural site.

  A scenic area within the Miyaluo Nature Reserve in Li County, covering 180 square kilometres at 2,400 to 4,500 metres, known for its river, peaks and autumn foliage, with more than 80 sights.
• Diexi and Songpinggou Scenic Area 叠溪--松坪沟景区
  The old town of Diexi on the upper Min River was destroyed in the 1933 Diexi earthquake and submerged beneath the newly formed dammed lake Diexi Haizi. The scenic area is built around these earthquake remains and Songping Valley.

• Muge Lake 木格措
  Also called Changhaizi or Yeren Hai, an alpine freshwater lake in Kangding at 3,777 metres covering 1.9 square kilometres. Surrounded by mountain lakes, hot springs, primeval forest and snow peaks, it is part of the Gongga Mountain national scenic area.
• Luding Bridge 泸定桥
  Also called the Dadu Bridge, a suspension bridge over the Dadu River built by imperial order of the Kangxi Emperor, begun in 1705 and completed in 1706. It was listed among the first national key cultural heritage sites in 1961.
• Dege Sutra Printing House 德格印经院
  One of the great printing centres of Tibetan Buddhism, founded in 1729 by the Derge chieftain Chöje Tenpa Tsering. It carves and prints the Tibetan Kangyur and Tengyur and texts of the various schools, and is a national key cultural heritage site.

  A city of mani stones in Sêrxü County dating from the Ming to the Qing, listed together with the Bage Mani Stone Wall as a national key cultural heritage site in 2006.

  China's largest cemetery for Red Army martyrs, founded in 1934 by the Northwest Revolutionary Military Committee. After scattered Red Army graves across Tongjiang were reinterred here in 2012, it holds 25,048 martyrs. A national key cultural heritage site.
• Micang Mountain National Forest Park 米仓山国家森林公园
  A national forest park on the Sichuan-Shaanxi border, on the watershed between the Han and Jialing rivers, crossed by the ancient Micang Road. Its main peak Guangwushan rises 2,507 metres, and it holds the world's largest and most diverse primeval beech (Fagus) forests.

  Also called the Xiaotong River, rising on the southern slopes of the Micang Mountains and flowing into the Datong River in the Jialing system. It is 158.1 kilometres long with a natural drop of 1,171 metres.

  Spanning Changning and Jiang'an counties, one of the very few scenic areas celebrated for its bamboo. Covering about 120 square kilometres, it has around 60 native bamboo species plus over 300 introduced ones, with moso bamboo the most extensive.
• Xingwen Stone Sea Cave Village Tourism Area 兴文石海洞乡旅游区
  A karst geopark on the transition between the Sichuan Basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, best known for its tiankeng sinkholes, the first discovered and studied in China. Listed as a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2005, it is also a national key scenic area.
• Xijiashan Traditional Residence 夕佳山民居
  A large residential compound founded in 1612, covering about 70,000 square metres with 123 rooms, all in post-and-tie timber construction, arranged in three courtyards with a garden beside. A national key cultural heritage site.
• Lizhuang Ancient Town 李庄古镇
  A Famous Historical and Cultural Town of China on the south bank of the Yangtze, a county and commandery seat as early as the Liang dynasty. It preserves historic buildings such as Xuanluo Hall and the former site of the Society for Research in Chinese Architecture. During the War of Resistance, Tongji University, Academia Sinica and a dozen other institutions relocated here, making it a key wartime cultural centre.
• Cuiping Mountain 翠屏山
  A hill in the city of Yibin with a 504.5-metre main peak, once barren and now Sichuan's largest urban forest park. The former Cuiping Academy on its slope houses the Zhao Yiman Memorial Hall.

• Qionghai Lake and Lushan Mountain National Scenic Area 邛海泸山国家级风景名胜区
  Lu Mountain, also called Frog Mountain, rises 2,317 metres on the west shore of Qionghai Lake. It is known for 'three wonders': Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism coexisting on one mountain, a Han-dynasty cypress at Mengduan Shrine, and a forest of 108 earthquake stelae in Guangfu Temple.
• Luoji Mountain 螺髻山
  A high mountain range in southwest Sichuan running over 50 kilometres south from Qionghai Lake, with a 4,358-metre main peak. It holds extensive primeval forest and classic glacial relics, rare plants such as cycads and Xikang magnolia, and wildlife including red pandas and leopards.
• Liangshan Prefecture Lugu Lake Tourist Scenic Area 凉山州泸沽湖旅游景区
  A plateau freshwater lake straddling Sichuan and Yunnan at 2,690 metres, covering 48.45 square kilometres with Class I water quality. Its shores are home to the Pumi and Mosuo peoples, the latter known for their 'walking marriage' custom.

• Three Su Shrine Museum 三苏祠博物馆
  The former home of Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe, converted to a memorial temple in the early Yuan dynasty and now a garden museum. Enclosed by red walls and winding water, it has an island-like character of 'three parts water, two parts bamboo'. A national key cultural heritage site.
• Wawu Mountain National Forest Park 瓦屋山国家森林公园
  Also called Shu Mountain or Great Wa Mountain, a roof-shaped plateau sloping slightly east and west, named for its resemblance to a tiled house. It contains a restricted zone, Mihundang, easy to enter and hard to leave, known as 'the Bermuda on land'.

• Zigong Dinosaur Museum 自贡恐龙博物馆
  A museum built on the Dashanpu dinosaur fossil site, China's first modern specialised dinosaur museum.
• Rongxian Great Buddha Cultural Tourism Area 荣县大佛文化旅游区
  A Tang-dynasty Buddha carved into the hillside, 36.67 metres tall with its head level with the summit. It is the world's second-largest stone Buddha and largest stone Sakyamuni, designated a national key cultural heritage site in 2006.
• Xianshi Ancient Town 仙市古镇
  Also called Xiantan, founded in the Kaihuang era of the Sui dynasty on the Fuxi River. It was a key relay station and wharf on Zigong's salt-transport route and is a Famous Historical and Cultural Town of China.
• Shenhai Well 燊海井
  A natural gas and black brine well completed in 1835, 1,001.42 metres deep and the world's first well to exceed a thousand metres. Its pounding house, winch house and boiling house survive, and it is a national key cultural heritage site.
• Fushun Confucian Temple and West Lake Scenic Area 富顺文庙·西湖景区
  A Confucian temple founded in the Northern Song and repaired through later dynasties. Along its axis stand the Pan Pool, Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Gate and Dacheng Hall, the last first built in 1291. A national key cultural heritage site.
• Zigong China Lantern World 自贡中华彩灯大世界
  Venue of the Zigong Lantern Festival, which dates from the Tang dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing. Held each year from Spring Festival to the Lantern Festival, it showcases Chinese tradition and Sichuan customs through lantern art and is hailed as the 'First Lanterns under Heaven'.

• Sanxingdui Museum 三星堆博物馆
  A national first-class museum at the northeast of the Sanxingdui site, opened in 1997 with a new building completed in 2023. It displays over 1,500 excavated treasures including the bronze sacred tree, bronze standing figure and gold sceptre.
• Mianzhu New Year Painting Village 绵竹年画村
  A village devoted to Mianzhu woodblock New Year prints, a traditional folk art counted among China's four great New Year print traditions.

• Huaying Mountain 华蓥山
  Also called West Mountain, the natural divide between the central Sichuan hills and the parallel ridges of eastern Sichuan, stretching over 300 kilometres across Sichuan and Chongqing. Its main peak Gaodengshan, 1,704.1 metres, is the highest point on the floor of the Sichuan Basin, and its second peak Baoding is a Buddhist holy site of eastern Sichuan.
• Baozhen Fortress 宝箴塞
  An old fortified village at Fangjiagou in Wusheng County, designated a national key cultural heritage site in 2006.

  A group of Ming-dynasty liquor fermentation pits in Jiangyang and Longmatan districts of Luzhou, designated a national key cultural heritage site in 1996.

• Chen Yi's Hometown Scenic Area 陈毅故里景区
  Centred on the former residence of Chen Yi in Laodong Town, Lezhi County, the birthplace and childhood home of one of the ten marshals of the People's Republic.
• Anyue Stone Carvings and Yuanjue Cave Scenic Area 安岳石刻·圆觉洞景区
  The collective name for the cave sculptures of Anyue County, with the earliest inscription dated 723 AD and a peak from the Tang to the Northern Song. Praised as 'inheriting Longmen and heralding Dazu', they number over 100,000 figures, with Yuanjue Cave and other sites listed as national key cultural heritage.
