- Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall 红岩革命纪念馆 2005The Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Museum, in Hongyan Village, Yuzhong District, is a museum run by the Hongyan Union.
- Chongqing Huguang Guild Hall 重庆湖广会馆 2006The Huguang Guildhall complex in Chongqing groups Qing-era buildings such as the Yu Wang Palace, Qi'an Guildhall and Guangdong Guildhall. It is the largest known guildhall complex in a Chinese city center and houses a museum of the "Huguang fills Sichuan" migration; it became a national key heritage site in 2006.
- China Three Gorges Museum 中国三峡博物馆 2007The China Three Gorges Museum, near Shangqingsi in Yuzhong District, faces the Chongqing People's Auditorium across the People's Square and is a national first-class museum.
- Hongyadong 洪崖洞 2007Hongyadong is a commercial scenic area in Yuzhong District, opened in 2006. Its main buildings imitate traditional Chongqing stilt houses built into the slope, 11 stories high with 53,000 sq m of commercial space; its night view became popular online from 2016.
- Chinese Democratic Parties History Exhibition Hall 中国民主党派历史陈列馆 2013Tegarden was the residence of the patriotic democrat Xian Ying, built in 1929–1931 and the birthplace of the China Democratic League. A history exhibition hall of the democratic parties opened here in 2008.

- Gongtan Ancient Town 龚滩古镇 2010A 1,700-year-old town at the confluence of the Wu and Apeng rivers, known for its flagstone street and all-timber stilted houses perched on cliffs. Submerged by the Pengshui hydropower project, it was rebuilt about one kilometre downstream from 2007 and largely completed in 2009.
- Longtan Ancient Town 龙潭古镇 2012The central market town of eastern Youyang County, a Famous Historical and Cultural Town of China and a national featured town. It contains the former residence of martyr Zhao Shiyan, a national patriotic education base.

- Xiaonanhai 小南海 2005Xiaonanhai is a quake-dammed lake in Xiaonanhai Town, Qianjiang, now a national geopark and a relatively well-preserved ancient earthquake site in China.
- Divine Turtle Gorge 神龟峡 2017Shenguixia, a gorge on the middle Apeng River, is 38.9 km long and named for two mountains at its mouth resembling a pair of turtles. It has 27 bends and 28 narrow slot passages, and became known only after the 1998 reservoir opened it to navigation.

- Fengsheng Ancient Town 丰盛古镇 2016Fengsheng is a town under Banan District, Chongqing.
- South Hot Spring Tourist Scenic Area 南温泉旅游风景区 2021South Hot Spring Scenic Area in Nanquan Subdistrict, Banan, is about 18 km from downtown Chongqing, first developed in 1927 and known for its hot springs. It has four zones: hot spring, Huayuan, Xiannü and Zhushiyuan.

- Chen Duxiu Former Residence Exhibition Hall 陈独秀旧居陈列馆 2016The last residence and place of death of Chen Duxiu, an early leader of the Communist Party of China, and the best-preserved of his former homes. Located at Heshanping in Jiangjin, it is a Chongqing municipal protected cultural site.

- Baiheliang Underwater Museum 白鹤梁 2013Baiheliang is a natural stone ridge in the Yangtze at Fuling, exposed only in low water. Its 170-plus inscriptions, about 12,000 characters, record low-water levels for 72 years. It is now preserved inside an underwater shell and visited as an underwater museum.
- Project 816 Scenic Area 816工程景区 2019Project 816 is an underground nuclear fuel plant in the mountains of Baitao Subdistrict, Fuling, built in the Third Front program. The site includes a martyrs' cemetery and was listed as a Chongqing municipal protected site in 2009.

- Ciqikou Ancient Town 磁器口古镇 2006Ciqikou Ancient Town on the Jialing River has been an important water and land port and a goods hub of the lower Jialing since the Ming and Qing, and is called "Little Chongqing."

- Tongnan Great Buddha Temple 潼南大佛寺 2014Also known as Nanchan Temple or Dingming Monastery, it preserves four ancient timber structures: the Great Buddha Pavilion, Guanyin Hall, Jade Emperor Hall and Jian Pavilion. Its remains span the Sui dynasty to the Republican era, and it is a Chongqing municipal protected cultural site.
- Shuangjiang Ancient Town 双江古镇 2018A Qing-dynasty town on the south bank of the Fu River, named for the Hou and Fu streams that encircle it. Listed in 2003 among the first Famous Historical and Cultural Towns of China, it preserves more than twenty intact Qing residences, chief among them the Yang family house where Yang Angong and Yang Shangkun once lived.

- Puti Mountain 菩提山 2017Puti Mountain, also called the Changshou Puti Mountain cultural tourism area, lies where Changshou, Dianjiang and Fuling meet, 73 km from downtown Chongqing. It was rated a national 4A scenic area in 2017.
