- Wuchang Uprising Cultural Tourism Area (Xinhai Revolution Museum, Red Building, Uprising Gate) 武昌首义文化旅游区（辛亥革命博物馆，红楼，起义门） 2002A tourism area built around the Xinhai Revolution Museum, among other sites. The museum, built to mark the revolution's centenary, stands south of Shouyi Square in Wuchang with 22,142 square meters of floor space.
- Wuhan Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences 武汉中国科学院武汉植物园 2002Founded in 1956, one of China's three core scientific botanical gardens, with campuses at Moshan and Optics Valley and more than 8,000 species. It is a national 4A tourist attraction.
- Wuhan Museum 武汉市博物馆 2005A comprehensive regional museum of Wuhan's history and culture, named among the first national first-grade museums in 2008. Its permanent exhibitions cover ancient and modern Wuhan history, treasured relics, ancient ceramics and Ming–Qing painting and calligraphy.
- Yifu Museum, China University of Geosciences 中国地质大学逸夫博物馆 2006The natural science museum of the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), the largest natural history museum in the five provinces of central-south China.
- Wuhan Happy Valley 武汉欢乐谷 2013A large theme park opened in 2012 covering 350,000 square meters, with eight themed zones such as Happy River City, Hurricane Bay and Speed World. Signature rides include the wooden Dueling Dragons coaster, Phoenix Dance and the launched Speed Flyer coaster.
- Zhongshan Warship Tourism Area 中山舰旅游区 2018A tourism area centered on the Zhongshan Warship Museum in Jinkou, Jiangxia District, which houses and displays the warship Zhongshan and the artifacts recovered with it.
- Wuhan Garden Expo Park 武汉园博园 2023A garden expo park in Wuhan covering 213.77 hectares, divided into a northern section in Dongxihu District and a southern section in Qiaokou District.
- Panlongcheng National Archaeological Site 盘龙城国家考古遗址 2025A Shang-dynasty site on Panlong Lake in Huangpi District, dated to 1600–1300 BC and the largest Xia–Shang city site yet found in the Yangtze basin, often called 'the root of Wuhan'. It was listed as a national key protected cultural site in 1988 and became a national archaeological site park in 2017.
- Wuhan Iron and Steel Cultural Tourism Area 武钢文化旅游区 2025An industrial tourism area based on the Wuhan Iron and Steel Group, the first extra-large integrated steelworks built in New China, begun in 1955 and in production from 1958. It is a major Chinese producer of automotive sheet and a leading world producer of cold-rolled silicon steel.
- Wuhan Sports Center Culture and Sports Park 武汉体育中心文化体育公园 2025A comprehensive sports complex in Zhuankou, Caidian District, covering about 105 hectares, with a 56,201-seat main stadium, a 13,000-seat arena and a 3,500-seat natatorium. - Tiantangzhai Scenic Area 天堂寨景区 2011A peak on the border of Luotian, Yingshan and Jinzhai (Anhui), rising 1,729.13 meters as the second-highest summit of the Dabie Mountains and part of the Yangtze–Huai watershed. Known as 'the first pass of southeast Wu and Chu', it lies in the core of the Dabie Mountains National Geopark.
- Yi'ai Lake 遗爱湖 2012An urban lake within the built-up center of Huanggang, surrounded by dense development, serving as cityscape, leisure space and ecological reserve.
- Dongpo Red Cliff 东坡赤壁 2014A reddish-brown rock hill in Huangzhou District, known in antiquity as Red Cliff or Chibi Promontory, where the exiled Song poet Su Shi wrote his celebrated 'Red Cliff Rhapsodies'. Most buildings date from an 1868 rebuilding and house steles reproducing Su's calligraphy. It was listed as a national key protected cultural site in 2006.
- Wunao Mountain National Forest Park 五脑山国家森林公园 2014A national forest park in Macheng, whose area is administered as the Wunaoshan Forest Farm, a township-level unit of the city.
- Fifth Patriarch Scenic Area 五祖风景区 2018A scenic area centered on Wuzu Temple, also called Dongshan Temple, in Wuzu Town, Huangmei County. It was the teaching seat of Hongren, the Fifth Patriarch of Chan Buddhism, and is one of the national key Buddhist temples in Han Chinese areas.

- Former Site of the Central Plains Military Region 中原军区旧址 2019A group of revolutionary sites in Xuanhuadian Town, Dawu County, including the Central Plains Military Region headquarters and the venue where Zhou Enlai negotiated with American and KMT representatives. The region was formed in October 1945 under commander Li Xiannian. It is a national key protected cultural site.

- Jingzhou Ancient City 荆州古城 2003An old city defined by the Jingzhou city wall, which traces back to an earthen wall built under Emperor Jing of the Western Han. One of China's four best-preserved ancient city walls and the finest in the south, it is also the only surviving wall with the longest continuous history of evolving from earth to brick. It was listed as a national key protected cultural site in 1996.
- Weishui Scenic Area 洈水风景区 2016A scenic area centered on Weishui Reservoir in Songzi. Built mainly for irrigation, with flood control, power generation and shipping functions, it has the Weishui National Forest Park on its northern shore and was designated a national water-conservancy scenic area in 2007.
- Red Xiang-E-Xi Tourism Area 红色湘鄂西旅游区 2020A red tourism area themed on the Hunan–Hubei West Revolutionary Base, a base area led by the Communist Party during the first civil war between the KMT and CPC, located on the border of Hunan and Hubei.
